About the role

The Registrar supports patient care by accurately capturing demographic and insurance information, scheduling procedures, securing authorizations, and maintaining organized patient records.

Responsibilities

• Interact with patients and families to provide courteous assistance and address inquiries.
• Schedule procedures based on physician availability and staffing needs.
• Pre-register patients by collecting demographic details and verifying insurance eligibility.
• Obtain necessary authorizations and document patient financial responsibilities.
• Communicate operative reports to physicians and prepare medical charts for upcoming procedures.
• Maintain and organize medical records, respond to record requests promptly.
• Answer phone calls professionally and perform other assigned duties.
