ER Registrar, Clarksville (Shift: Wed: 7a-1p; Sun/Mon/Tue: 7a-7p) - ONSITE At Sango

About the role

Vanderbilt Health is the region’s largest comprehensive academic health system, with eight hospitals and over 180 clinics, providing world-class care and advancing medicine through patient care, education, and research. The ER Registrar role involves admitting patients in a timely manner, documenting information, obtaining signatures, verifying insurance, securing authorizations, collecting deductibles or co-pays, applying wrist bands correctly, providing advance directives, and addressing patient questions or concerns, as well as assisting with inpatient admissions when needed.

Responsibilities

• Admit all patients in a timely and accurate manner
• Ensure all current information has been documented, signatures received, insurance verified, authorizations received, and deductibles or co-pays requested in a compliant manner
• Ensure wrist bands are placed on the proper patients, advance directives given to each patient, and patients receive answers to any questions or concerns they may have
• Assist with inpatient patient admissions as needed

Requirements

• Less than 1 year of relevant work experience
• High School Diploma or GED
