About the role

We are seeking an Advisor, ER & HR Compliance, to support the firm’s commitment to regulatory integrity and sound employment practices. This role focuses on monitoring and supporting employment compliance with national, state, and local employment laws, as well as internal HR policies and standards. The Advisor plays a critical role in supporting periodic audits of HR processes and documentation, identifying compliance gaps, and recommending corrective actions to mitigate risk.

Working closely with HR, Technology, Finance, and the Office of General Counsel, the Advisor prepares compliance reports, maintains accurate records of ER & compliance activities, and supports data validation and reporting efforts. The role also researches regulatory updates and communicates relevant changes to HR leadership and key stakeholders. Additionally, the Advisor provides guidance to HR team members on routine compliance enquiries, escalating complex or sensitive matters while maintaining strict confidentiality.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in monitoring, tracking, and implementing compliance with national, regional, state, city, and local employment laws and internal HR policies.
  • Support periodic audits and review of HR processes, policies, and documentation to identify gaps and recommend corrective actions.
  • Prepare timely compliance reports and maintain accurate records of compliance activities.
  • Research regulatory updates and communicate relevant changes to HR leadership, the Office of General Counsel, and relevant stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with HR, Technology, Legal, and Finance teams to extract compliance-related data and ensure accurate and timely reporting.
  • Provide guidance to HR team members on compliance-related enquiries and escalate complex issues to the HR Compliance leader.
  • Support the effective tracking of ER matters in collaboration with Senior Advisor and Senior Manager.
  • Contribute to and support the creation of ER/Compliance-related templates, guidance, and checklists.
  • Ensure the communication of essential compliance-related information in a timely manner and effectively use internal resources as a communication channel.
  • Maintain information in the firm’s communication systems (e.g., intranet, Service Now, Rippling) and contribute to the information strategy for employee/Partner awareness.
  • Support and assist with ER & Compliance-related internal training and the management of compliance campaigns with external providers.
  • Assist in leveraging technology to develop, deliver, and track mandatory training and compliance-related matters.
  • Model and reinforce high standards of professionalism, discretion, confidentiality, and ethical conduct in all interactions and when handling sensitive information.
  • Perform other duties within the scope and level of the role, as may be reasonably required.

Qualifications

  • Degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field preferred or equivalent experience with typically 2-3 years in HR, Employee Relations, or HR Compliance.
  • Professional HR certification preferred (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR, CIPD).

Skills

  • Exposure to HR Policies and Procedures (e.g., Onboarding, Benefits, Leave, Pay Practices, Employee Relations, etc.).
  • Good working knowledge of state and federal/national employment laws and willingness to learn and develop globally.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of compliance-related matters and delivery.
  • Knowledge of principles and practices of HR Management.
  • Familiarity and understanding of GDPR, PII, data privacy requirements, and best practices.
