Immediately hiring a Permanent Equipment Quality Coordinator in Houston, Texas.

Pay

Hourly Pay: $19.25 per hour, paid each week.

Schedule

  • Monday - Friday
  • First Shift: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One (1) year or more of mechanical and/or customer service experience
  • Advanced knowledge of truck and trailer equipment
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to meet Ryder’s driving qualifications
  • CDL A required; ability to obtain CDL if not already held
  • Strong backing experience required
  • Ability to work in an outside environment and exposed to elements
  • Customer focus and support
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member
  • Organized and capable of multi-tasking
  • Light computer skills (tablet for inspections, email)

This position requires driving Ryder vehicles. Candidates must:

  • Pass a Ryder drug test
  • Pass a DOT physical
  • Pass a Ryder road test
  • Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years

Some positions may require additional screening, such as employment and education verification, motor vehicle records check, and customer-specific badging or background requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Exercise trucks/tractors to assure equipment is roadworthy and ready for sale
  • Guarantee customer units are ready for delivery or transport without issues
  • Transport equipment about the yard to ensure it is orderly, organized, and presentable
  • Perform light mechanical work such as jump starts, battery installation, fluid management, and troubleshooting mechanical issues
  • Coordinate and communicate with local Ryder shops or third-party service providers for repairs
  • Ensure equipment is clean and presentable
  • Submit weekly equipment exercise data via Teams
  • Perform special projects and other duties as assigned
