Equipment Design Senior Engineer - Robotics

About the role

The Electrical Design Robotics Engineer develops high-quality robotic hardware, software, and safety systems to support new model and technology introductions across manufacturing facilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead project planning, resource management, and execution of robotics design for medium to high complexity projects.
• Provide mentorship and conduct reviews to foster team growth.
• Implement robotics solutions on multiple production lines, ensuring design standards and specifications are met.
• Perform system evaluations, simulations, and vendor buyoffs.
• Report on project progress and propose corrective actions.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years relevant experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Robot CAD, and simulation tools.
• Ability to support robot installations across North America, including troubleshooting and on-site work.
• Physical capability for hands-on tasks and working on manufacturing floors.

Work Environment

Primarily office-based with some manufacturing floor presence. Flexibility to support installations and troubleshooting, including weekend work. Long hours may be required during installations and debugging.
