Epic Sr. Analyst - Quality and Population Health

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, implement, maintain, and enhance Epic clinical and administrative workflows
  • Serve as a primary support contact for application users
  • Resolve service tickets and implement requested application changes
  • Retrieve requested clinical and operational data
  • Support junior analysts with troubleshooting and daily operations
  • Analyze Epic releases and determine their impact on existing workflows
  • Build and maintain clinician workflows and HEDIS quality measures for Medicare Advantage programs
  • Configure CMS quality programs, including MIPS, MVP, MACRA, and other government initiatives
  • Support electronic clinical quality measures and Promoting Interoperability requirements
  • Configure clinical decision support tools, health maintenance rules, and population health workflows
  • Support quality reporting, business intelligence, advanced analytics, and data integration
  • Manage application testing and document workflows, configurations, and system changes
  • Analyze clinical processes and assess the impact of application changes
  • Identify and resolve application, reporting, and workflow issues
  • Improve clinical workflows, application performance, reporting, and technology adoption
  • Partner with clinical stakeholders, technical teams, leadership, trainers, and users
  • Collaborate with trainers to develop documentation and training strategies
  • Participate in project meetings, operational committees, system launches, and clinical rounding
  • Provide leadership with updates regarding projects, risks, and application issues
  • Participate in on call rotations and provide support outside normal business hours when required
  • Travel to job sites for system launches, conferences, rounding, or leadership meetings
  • Maintain regular communication with project and application team members

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare information technology, computer science, information systems, healthcare administration, or a related field
  • Epic Healthy Planet or Epic Ambulatory certification
  • At least three years of relevant experience, preferably within a healthcare organization
  • Experience building, implementing, and supporting Epic clinical workflows
  • Knowledge of clinical terminology, workflows, user interface optimization, and clinical decision support
  • Experience with application testing, workflow documentation, troubleshooting, and production support
  • Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and project management skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with clinical, technical, and operational teams
  • Ability to lead, mentor, and train junior team members
  • Ability to participate in on call rotations and work outside standard hours when necessary
  • Ability to travel when required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Epic Kaleidoscope certification and build experience
  • Experience with Epic Healthy Planet, population health, and ambulatory workflows
  • Experience building HEDIS measures for Medicare Advantage programs
  • Knowledge of MIPS, MVP, MACRA, electronic clinical quality measures, and Promoting Interoperability
  • Familiarity with Medicare Advantage, ACO, MSSP, and Meaningful Use reporting
  • Experience with case management, care management, and wellness program workflows
  • Knowledge of health plan operations and external claims data integration
  • Experience with healthcare business intelligence, advanced analytics, and data mining
  • Experience supporting Epic implementations, upgrades, releases, and production launches
