About the role

We are seeking an experienced Epic Certified Cadence Analyst with strong Decision Tree build expertise to support an Epic implementation and optimization initiative. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience configuring Epic Cadence, building and maintaining scheduling decision trees, and collaborating with clinical and operational stakeholders to optimize patient access and scheduling workflows. This role requires a highly skilled Epic analyst who can independently gather requirements, design solutions, perform system build, support testing, and assist with go-live activities.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, configure, and maintain Epic Cadence application functionality.
  • Develop and optimize Decision Trees to support patient scheduling, call center workflows, and provider access.
  • Analyze scheduling workflows and recommend best-practice solutions that improve efficiency and patient experience.
  • Partner with operational leaders, scheduling teams, and clinical stakeholders to gather business requirements.
  • Configure providers, departments, visit types, scheduling templates, and appointment rules.
  • Participate in workflow design sessions and translate operational requirements into Epic build.
  • Perform system testing, integrated testing, and support user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Troubleshoot application issues and provide timely resolution throughout the implementation lifecycle.
  • Assist with go-live planning, command center support, and post-implementation stabilization.
  • Develop and maintain system documentation, build specifications, and change control documentation.
  • Collaborate with other Epic application teams to ensure successful integration across the Epic ecosystem.

Required Qualifications

  • Current Epic Cadence Certification (active certification required).
  • Demonstrated experience building and maintaining Epic Decision Trees.
  • Minimum of 3 years of Epic Cadence build experience.
  • Experience supporting Epic implementation, optimization, or upgrade projects.
  • Strong understanding of patient scheduling workflows and access management.
  • Experience with workflow analysis, system configuration, testing, and production support.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with clinical, operational, and technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced consulting environment.
