Epic Associate Applications Analyst - Ancillary IT Services
About the Role
Analyzes, designs, tests, debugs, integrates, implements, trains, maintains, and supports health care and business-related computer systems. Establishes and maintains professional relationships with internal and external customers to address information technology needs. Translates identified needs into functional and technical specifications and recommends technology solutions to resolve application process challenges or problems.
Responsibilities
- Analyzes, develops, modifies, and maintains application processes and technologies using appropriate software tools.
- Evaluates customer specifications and recommends solutions, converting them into functional and technical specifications; supports customers in developing IT requests and implementation timeframes.
- Establishes professional relationships with internal and external customers to enhance their experience with Bryan Health System technology.
- Anticipates the impact of new or modified software on existing systems and standards.
- Troubleshoots computer issues, including processes, workflow, hardware, and software problems; resolves incidents according to service level agreements and collaborates with other IT resources for effective solutions.
- Recommends updates to system documentation, including processes, installation procedures, training materials, and user manuals.
- Applies standard testing methodologies to review and test new or modified systems with detailed testing scripts; obtains customer approval and signoff.
- Participates in the development of implementation timeframes, installation, and testing of applications; monitors and evaluates application performance.
- Adheres to IT departmental processes, including time tracking and change management.
- Participates in an On Point rotation to provide consistent and timely support to customers.
- Provides timely updates to stakeholders regarding system enhancements and break-fix issues; evaluates operational workflow and system features for gap analysis and decision-making.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams to develop and refine processes; coordinates with other analysts to define integrated workflows.
- Develops communication regarding scheduled implementations or system changes affecting routine computer usage for stakeholders, including Operations, Vendors, IT Service Desk, and other impacted groups.
- Evaluates and recommends efforts to ensure adoption of new technology.
- Analyzes and provides application data for interface testing and processing; monitors and supports integration processes.
- Maintains professional growth through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations to stay current with industry trends.
- Participates in meetings, committees, and department projects as assigned.
- Performs other related projects and duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Knowledge of operations, workflow, and processes related to specific areas of application support preferred.
- Knowledge of computer hardware and software applications relevant to work functions preferred.
- Knowledge of system interface analysis and comprehensive testing processes preferred.

Qualifications
Associates or technical degree in an information technology area of study, a medical or allied health area of study (e.g., nursing, radiology, laboratory), or a business area of study (finance, information management) required. Epic certification required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Other Credentials / Certifications
Must have internet connectivity off-premises to respond to work requests when necessary.
Physical Requirements
Characterized as sedentary work requiring exertion up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may require walking or standing for brief periods. This position is responsible for working with all assigned areas, including all entity locations. Regular travel (including overnight) may be required based on organizational needs.
