Epic Associate Application Analyst

About the Role

Prime Healthcare is an award-winning health system operating 54 hospitals and over 360 outpatient locations across 15 states, serving more than 3.0 million patient visits annually. This role supports the design, build, testing, training, and support of the electronic medical record (EMR) system. The Associate Analyst position is designed for individuals to learn the system, implementation process, and core analyst tasks within Prime IT. The Associate Analyst will assist in all tasks until able to perform them with decreased supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assist with basic tasks related to the design, build, testing, training, and support of the EMR system.
• Learn the EMR system, implementation processes, and key analyst responsibilities.
• Serve as an assistant in all tasks until capable of performing them with minimal supervision.
• Support facilities during holidays, nights, and weekends as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare, Nursing, Business, or Computer/Information Sciences OR equivalent professional experience.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint.
• Certification or proficiency in the assigned EMR application, or ability to become proficient within 3 months of hire.
• Understanding of EMR implementation and/or maintenance.
• IT or operational knowledge of clinical or revenue cycle processes in hospitals, clinics, or business offices.
• Familiarity with healthcare operations, integrated delivery systems, and IT applications in healthcare environments.
• Technical expertise in analysis, process design, workflow, research, installation, implementation, and support of EMR systems.
• Ability to independently prioritize work, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects.
• Effective team player with excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Professional etiquette and customer service orientation.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% and take call as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year of industry-related experience in an IT/clinical setting or within applicable healthcare operations.
• Prior experience in EMR implementations and/or support.

Pay

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $25.40 to $34.00 per hour. The exact starting compensation will be determined based on factors such as skillset, experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
