Responsibilities
- Begin each day energized and ready to make an impact; greet teammates with a warm hello and help ensure the sales floor is clean, organized, and prepared for customers.
- Review sales goals, learn about new arrivals and top-selling items, and stay up to date on current trends and promotions to engage, educate, and sell with confidence.
- Focus on the customer—offer a warm welcome, make eye contact, and create friendly, personal conversations to build relationships and bring customers back.
- Maintain a shoppable space by recovering the floor and fitting rooms, updating signs and pricing, and supporting any needed merchandise moves.
- Finish Strong—share Loyalty program benefits, ensure customers have all they need, and end with a sincere thank-you, often walking the package around and using the customer’s name.
- Support one another with honesty, care, and collaboration to better serve customers and communities.
- Strive to improve every day, take pride in your work, achieve sales goals, and learn from each other to deliver individual and store results.
Schedule and availability
- Flexible availability, including days, evenings, weekends and holidays with regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Minimum work requirements of 42 hours per quarter during 1st, 2nd, and 3rd fiscal quarters (February–April, May–July, August–October).
- Minimum of 60 hours required during the 4th fiscal quarter (November–January).
- Minimum number of hours may be subject to change and a minimum number of weekend shifts may be required.
Requirements
- Ability to understand and communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, and supervisors.
- Read and understand employment policies and safety rules/procedures in English.
- Comfortable communicating and collaborating with customers and colleagues.
- Ability to meet daily sales goal challenges.
- Responsible for acquiring new customers by opening credit accounts and sharing loyalty benefits.
- Enjoy meeting people, learning about them, and sharing information.
- Resourceful and eager to start a new venture; able to adapt to changing priorities; works well independently and as part of a team.
Essential physical requirements
- Talking, lifting, constant moving, standing, and reaching with arms and hands.
- Standing for at least two consecutive hours; lifting at least 25 lbs.; stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders; reaching, including above eye level.
- Requires close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
- Frequent use of computers and other technology, including handheld equipment, cash register, and ability to process register transactions.
