Epic Associate Application Analyst

About the Role

Prime Healthcare is an award-winning health system operating 54 hospitals and over 360 outpatient locations across 15 states, serving more than 3.0 million patient visits annually. This role supports the design, build, testing, training, and support of the electronic medical record (EMR) system as an Epic Associate Analyst. The position is designed for analysts to learn the system, implementation process, and core tasks under supervision until proficiency is demonstrated.

Responsibilities

• Assist with basic tasks related to the design, build, testing, training, and support of the EMR system.
• Serve as an assistant in all analyst tasks until able to perform duties with decreased supervision.
• Support implementation and maintenance of Electronic Medical Record systems.
• Apply IT or operational knowledge of clinical or revenue cycle processes in hospital, clinic, or business office settings.
• Prioritize work assignments, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects.
• Provide support to facilities on holidays, nights, and weekends as needed.
• Travel up to 50% and take call as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare, Nursing, Business, or Computer/Information Sciences OR equivalent professional experience.
• Strong computer skills including Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint.
• Certification or proficiency in assigned EMR application, or ability to become proficient within 3 months of hire.
• Understanding of Healthcare operations, IT applications in healthcare, and integrated delivery systems.
• Technical expertise in analysis, process design, workflow, research, installation, implementation, and support of EMR systems.
• Ability to independently prioritize work, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects.
• Excellent communication, organizational skills, and professional customer service etiquette.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year of industry-related experience in an IT/Clinical setting or applicable healthcare operations.
• Prior experience in EMR implementations and/or support.

Pay

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $25.40 to $34.00 per hour. The exact starting compensation will be determined based on factors such as skillset, experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
