The EHR Application Analyst performs a variety of duties related to the information technology applications, including design, development, system configuration, implementation, continuous improvement, and support of information systems.

Responsibilities

  • Defines, documents, builds, and maintains EHR application content.
  • Creates functional specification documents to create content within the EHR application and validates this content with the business owner.
  • Independently leads projects adhering to defined project management strategies and guidelines, managing assigned projects and meeting deadlines consistently.
  • Serves as an application expert and resource for team members and other application teams in identifying issues and resolution paths, managing cross-team collaboration.
  • Achieves and maintains required certifications (if applicable) of respective EHR application and stays current with new functionality and enhancements.
  • Acts as a liaison between IT, customers, and/or vendors, coordinating and facilitating meetings with relevant documentation for all operational areas using the software.
  • Prepares and maintains documentation, including analysis, design, programming, standard procedures, and user guides.
  • Performs all other duties as needed or directed, including on-call/after-hours support.
  • Communicates effectively with all levels of leadership, including C-level interactions.
  • Mentors junior colleagues in the development of application knowledge and project management skills.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 5-8 years of related work experience in direct Electronic Health Record implementation and support with a demonstrated track record of success. In lieu of direct experience, a minimum of 5+ years of operational experience utilizing applicable Electronic Health Records applications.
  • Vendor-required certification in good standing (or proficiency if vendor accepts) for applications/modules assigned to support. If not currently certified, employee will have 6 months from date of hire or transfer to obtain certification.
  • Ability to assess problems and projects independently with minimal supervision.
  • Possesses advanced application knowledge and can effectively apply it to unique scenarios and problems.
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) and other web-based applications; ability to produce complex documents, perform analysis, and maintain databases.

Pay

$119,995.00 USD - $147,680.00 USD annual base salary range. Actual compensation is determined based on factors such as seniority, education, training, relevant experience, certifications, geography, and job responsibilities.

Additional Information

This position is primarily remote, based in Charlestown, MA, with occasional on-site scheduling for go-live or other assignments/meetings. As a health care organization, Beth Israel Lahey Health requires all staff to be vaccinated against influenza (flu) as a condition of employment.
