The New Mexico Behavioral Health Institute (NMBHI) Residential treatment program will provide inpatient services for individuals struggling with substance abuse and mental health disorders. Our program offers Inpatient Detox services for clients seeking residential treatment. Our team provides anti-craving medication assistance and encourages Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) during treatment and post-discharge.

Responsibilities

  • Develop healthy coping skills and identify behaviors that promote substance use, creating a relapse prevention plan and discharge plan.
  • Supervise and manage structured recreational activities, and provide individual and group counseling.
  • Collaborate with residential technicians to meet daily shift requirements and individualized treatment goals.
  • Drive the residential team to ensure schedule adherence and timely medication management when applicable.
  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to meet the needs of individuals seeking treatment for substance abuse and mental health illness.
  • Complete triage assessments, admission assessments, and treatment plans for each admission.
  • Follow an approved medication protocol for withdrawal management and communicate effectively with the medical provider and the residential team.

Requirements

  • Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in New Mexico, or eligibility for such licensure in accordance with New Mexico requirements, or eligibility for a temporary license issued for employment at a specific institution in New Mexico.
  • Three (3) years of experience as it pertains to the essential duties and responsibilities of the classification.

Qualifications

  • Must possess and maintain a valid Drivers License.
  • Must successfully complete post-offer pre-employment criminal records background check.
  • MUST possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
  • Must successfully complete the Health Insurance Portability & Accountability Act (HIPAA).

$75,775 - $113,663 Annually

Schedule

Tuesday through Saturday, 19:00-07:00
