About the role
Perform tests and/or measurement tasks for the Environmental department. Environmental: The branch of mechanics that deals with changes in the environment, including temperature, pressure and humidity.
Core Responsibilities
- Read specifications from technical documents (Test Standards, Customer SOWs, and Test Plans/Procedures), identify/prepare test equipment
- Perform Testing - Monitor tests per specifications, interact with customers if needed, troubleshoot, and document all pertinent data
- Data Processing - After test completion, verify, review and document all pertinent data. Finalize data and send to the Program Manager
- Labor Maintenance / Post-Test Breakdown - Physically remove test items. Maintain lab by cleaning all equipment, keeping calibrated instruments current, & organizing supplies
- Other - Perform other duties as assigned
Core Requirements
- Under General Supervision, can perform certain recurring work independently
- Regular interaction with clients
- Intermediate interpretation and analysis of test results
- Comprehensive knowledge of Electrical & Mechanical principles, working knowledge of basic safety practices; working knowledge of refrigeration/thermal systems
- Able to use all standard Environmental equipment; able to accurately capture necessary data; basic MS Office skills; able to understand AC/DC circuits
Minimum Education And Experience
- HS Diploma or GED
- AA or AS degree preferred
- 2-6 Years of experience
