About the role
The Environmental Technician II manages inbound waste streams, ensuring proper treatment protocols, sampling, unloading bulk liquids, and resolving load issues while operating equipment safely and completing required paperwork. The role emphasizes safety, professionalism, and adherence to environmental regulations.
Responsibilities
- Manage inbound waste streams
- Know treatment protocols
- Perform sampling
- Unload bulk liquids
- Resolve issues with loads
- Operate hi-lows and end loaders safely
- Complete necessary paperwork
- Ensure proper waste treatment procedures are followed
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2+ years of hazardous materials experience
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to operate equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks
- Good visual and auditory awareness
- Ability to work outdoors and indoors in various conditions
- Wear required PPE
Preferred Skills
- Warehouse or manufacturing experience
- Basic computer skills
- Strong communication in English
Schedule
Reliable attendance required; flexibility to work nights or weekends as needed.
Pay
Starting pay of $26.00 per hour.
