What You'll Be Doing
- Lead the receiving, storage, tracking, and distribution of Environmental Services supplies and equipment.
- Keep inventory levels balanced by maintaining and adjusting min/max stock levels—avoiding shortages without filling every storage room to the ceiling.
- Supervise and support team members while helping create an efficient, customer-focused operation.
- Partner with EVS leadership to establish supply par levels for hospital departments and satellite facilities.
- Maintain clean, organized, and compliant storage areas that meet safety and infection prevention standards.
- Reduce equipment downtime and quickly address operational issues.
- Look for opportunities to improve processes, increase efficiency, and support the overall success of the department.
Required Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with staff, patients, and visitors.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 60 pounds on a regular basis.
- Ability to safely operate electric and battery-powered floor care equipment.
- Ability to read and understand chemical labels, safety information, and first-aid instructions.
- Must meet fleet driving requirements if driving is required for the position.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office applications.
Bonus Points For
- College coursework.
- Experience in healthcare, environmental services, inventory management, or supply chain operations.
- Three or more years of experience in a service-oriented environment.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills.
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience.
