Sodexo is seeking a hands-on leader to oversee frontline environmental services teams at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA), one of the nation’s leading pediatric hospitals. This role prioritizes safety, compliance, and efficiency while managing daily operations, team development, and high standards for clean, healthy, and welcoming environments.

About the role

Accountable for managing people, setting direction, and deploying resources, including performance evaluations, pay reviews, and hire/fire decisions. Results are achieved through the work of others, relying on influence and negotiation across the organization. Progression reflects growing technical expertise, business knowledge, and leadership capabilities. Responsible for business, functional, or operational areas, processes, or programs, which may include dotted-line or matrixed management.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee frontline teams to deliver exceptional environmental services.
  • Manage daily operations, guide team development, and maintain high standards.
  • Foster a culture of compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Support budgeting and resource planning processes.
  • Collaborate across departments to enhance service delivery and operational success.

Requirements

  • Proven experience leading or supervising environmental services or custodial teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and regulatory compliance within facilities operations.
  • Excellent multitasking skills with a focus on meeting deadlines and achieving operational goals.
  • Clear, confident communication skills paired with strong attention to detail.
  • Technical proficiency with custodial tools, processes, and operational systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 0-3 years of management experience.
  • 0-3 years of related experience.

Pay

$89,250 – $115,500 per year, based on education, experience, skills, and training.
