Environmental Services / Custodial Operations Manager 2

About the role

This is a 900+ bed academic medical center. This is the flagship hospital of UNC Healthcare. The role will oversee second shift (2pm -11:30pm).

Responsibilities

• Oversee frontline teams to deliver exceptional environmental services that prioritize safety, compliance, and efficiency.
• Manage daily operations, guide team development, and help maintain high standards that create clean, healthy, and welcoming environments.
• Accountable for managing people, setting direction and deploying resources; typically is responsible for performance evaluation, pay reviews and hire/fire decisions.
• Results are primarily achieved through the work of others and typically depend on the manager's ability to influence and negotiate with parts of the organization.

Requirements

• Education Requirement: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• Management Experience: 0-3 years
• Related Experience: 0-3 years

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading or supervising environmental services or custodial teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and regulatory compliance within facilities operations.
• Excellent multitasking skills with a focus on meeting deadlines and achieving operational goals.
• Clear, confident communication skills paired with strong attention to detail.
• Technical proficiency with custodial tools, processes, and operational systems to support team effectiveness.

Pay

$64600 per year - $83600 per year
