Environmental Services / Custodial Operations Manager 2

About the role

This role supports the ECU Roanoke-Chowan Hospital, part of a 9-hospital health system. The position is on Day Shift with some coverage for 2nd Shift.

Responsibilities

• Oversee frontline teams to deliver exceptional environmental services prioritizing safety, compliance, and efficiency.
• Manage daily operations, guide team development, and maintain high standards for cleanliness and wellness.
• Accountable for managing people, setting direction, and deploying resources; responsible for performance evaluation, pay reviews, and hire/fire decisions.
• Lead and inspire teams focused on delivering quality and safety in fast-paced settings.
• Build skills in workforce management, training, and operational coordination.
• Foster a culture of compliance and continuous improvement.
• Gain valuable experience supporting budgeting and resource planning processes.
• Collaborate across departments to enhance service delivery and operational success.

Requirements

• Education Requirement: Associate’s degree or equivalent experience
• Management Experience: 2 years
• Related Experience: 2 years

Qualifications

Proven experience leading or supervising environmental services or custodial teams in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of safety protocols and regulatory compliance within facilities operations. Excellent multitasking skills with a focus on meeting deadlines and achieving operational goals. Clear, confident communication skills paired with strong attention to detail. Technical proficiency with custodial tools, processes, and operational systems to support team effectiveness.

Skills

Excellent customer service skills along with strong floor care knowledge and computer skills desired.

Pay

Pay Range: $58055 per year - $75130 per year
