Environmental Services / Custodial Operations Manager 1

Sodexo is seeking a PEMS Manager to lead and oversee a team of 10 PEMS technicians managing portable medical equipment at Moses Cone Healthcare System. The ideal candidate understands hospital cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization processes, with healthcare, hospital, or portable medical equipment experience preferred. Strong leadership and team management skills are essential.

About the Role

In this hands-on leadership role, you will oversee frontline teams to deliver exceptional environmental services that prioritize safety, compliance, and efficiency. You’ll manage daily operations, guide team development, and help maintain high standards that create clean, healthy, and welcoming environments.

Accountable for managing people, setting direction, and deploying resources; typically responsible for performance evaluation, pay reviews, and hire/fire decisions. Results are primarily achieved through the work of others and depend on the manager's ability to influence and negotiate with parts of the organization. Progression within the career band reflects acquisition of broad technical expertise, business and industry knowledge, and process and people leadership capabilities. Accountable for business, functional, or operational areas, processes, or programs, which may include dotted-line or matrixed management.

Requirements

• Proven experience leading or supervising environmental services or custodial teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and regulatory compliance within facilities operations.
• Excellent multitasking skills with a focus on meeting deadlines and achieving operational goals.
• Clear, confident communication skills paired with strong attention to detail.
• Technical proficiency with custodial tools, processes, and operational systems to support team effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 0-3 years of management experience.
• 0-3 years of related experience.

Pay

$56,270 – $72,820 per year.
