Environmental Services / Custodial Operations Manager 1
Sodexo is hiring for a leadership role at Renown Regional Medical Center in Reno, Nevada, a nationally recognized nonprofit healthcare system and the region’s only Level II Trauma Center. This position focuses on leading environmental services (EVS) operations in a dynamic acute care setting to enhance patient experience and operational performance.
About the Role
In this hands-on leadership role, you will oversee frontline teams to deliver exceptional environmental services that prioritize safety, compliance, and efficiency. You’ll manage daily operations, guide team development, and maintain high standards to create clean, healthy, and welcoming environments. Accountable for managing people, setting direction, and deploying resources, this role includes performance evaluations, pay reviews, and hire/fire decisions. Results are achieved through the work of others and depend on your ability to influence and negotiate across the organization. Progression reflects the acquisition of broad technical expertise, business knowledge, and leadership capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Lead frontline EVS teams in a fast-paced hospital environment.
- Optimize operations to ensure safety, compliance, and efficiency.
- Manage daily operations, including workforce management and training.
- Support budgeting and resource planning processes.
- Collaborate across departments to enhance service delivery and operational success.
- Foster a culture of compliance and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Proven experience leading or supervising environmental services or custodial teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and regulatory compliance within facilities operations.
- Excellent multitasking skills with a focus on meeting deadlines and achieving operational goals.
- Clear, confident communication skills paired with strong attention to detail.
- Technical proficiency with custodial tools, processes, and operational systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 0-3 years of management experience.
- 0-3 years of related experience.
Pay
Annual salary range: $61,710 – $79,860, partially determined by a candidate's education level, years of relevant experience, skills, and training.
