Environmental Services / Custodial Operations Manager 1

About the role

Sodexo is seeking an Environmental Services-Custodial Manager 2 for St. Catherines University in Saint Paul, Minnesota. The successful candidate will manage client relationships, lead inspections, and oversee a team of 28+ employees.

Responsibilities

• Manage a diverse team of 28+ diverse employees
• Ensure a safe working environment through campus for all employees
• Demonstrate willingness to perform at a high level in a team environment
• Operate vehicles with safe work practices and caution while efficiently transporting waste materials
• Work with customers to ensure satisfaction in areas of janitorial services, waste removal, and campus event set-up and tear down
• Operate custodial equipment including but not limited to wet - dry vacuums, extractors, buffers, sprayers, auto scrubbers and electric carts

Requirements

• Willingness to perform at a high level in a team environment
• Excellent customer service skills along with coaching, mentoring and team building
• Prior Environmental Service, Housekeeping, Custodial and Maintenance experience
• Strong, proven communication skills and the ability to prioritize service needs
• An organized leadership style to drive positive results on a daily basis

Qualifications

• Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience

Schedule

This position offers a traditional Business & Industry, Predominately Monday - Friday schedule, but will include some evenings and weekends for busier seasons.
