Environmental Services / Custodial Manager 1

Sodexo is seeking an Environmental Services (EVS) Manager 1 for SSM Health St. Anthony Hospital in Shawnee, OK. This role oversees second-shift operations, leading teams that support patient discharges, ancillary departments, and cleaning services for eight off-site clinics.

About the role

The EVS Manager is a hands-on leader who drives operational excellence, maintains high standards of cleanliness and regulatory compliance, and fosters a positive team culture. The ideal candidate will be flexible, customer-focused, and experienced in environmental services, housekeeping, or custodial operations within a healthcare or similarly complex environment.

Responsibilities

• Drive client and patient satisfaction scores
• Provide a clean and safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff; work closely with the Infectious Control department
• Lead teams and departmental projects and initiatives
• Effectively manage the Unit Operating System
• Support a diverse and inclusive workforce

Requirements

• Experience leading, training, and supervising a team
• Customer service and/or guest satisfaction experience in healthcare or hospitality
• Strong leadership skills and ability to work independently to drive programs
• Experience managing projects within agreed-upon timelines
• Proficiency with computers and other technology
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to work Monday–Friday, second shift, with weekend and holiday rotation

Ability to speak Spanish is helpful but not required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent experience)
