Primary Responsibilities
- Exercise judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, and substantial adaptation and modification of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria.
- Conceptualize the initial electrical design approach for all project types and have overall responsibility for the electrical engineering work.
- Knowledgeable in consulting and construction practices to include plan/specifications, design/build, and construction manager roles and responsibilities.
- Serve as liaison between clients and agencies, subcontractors, and design teams.
- Organize and prepare all electrical construction drawings (single-line diagrams, layouts, sections, elevations, and details as appropriate), technical specifications, contract documents, and estimates.
- Conduct electrical systems analysis, such as arc flash, short circuit, and coordination studies utilizing power system analysis software.
- Understand power system protection and relaying schemes for electrical distribution systems.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Education: 4-Year Electrical Engineering degree required.
- Experience: Entry level. However, Henneman Engineering is open to considering a diverse range of experience and skill levels.
- Experience With AutoCAD And SKM/ETAP (or Other Power Systems analysis software) is preferred.
