About the role

Responsibilities

  • Develop electrical system designs for new facilities, additions, and renovations based on project scope and client requests
  • Conduct existing building surveys and document existing electrical systems
  • Develop system design calculations and select appropriate equipment for buildings
  • Write and edit project specifications
  • Create detailed design documents, reports, and studies
  • Research and comply with relevant codes, standards, and design guidelines
  • Coordinate work with other engineering disciplines
  • Perform quality assurance and quality control checks on design work

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
  • Engineer in Training certification preferred
  • Familiarity with codes, standards, and design guidelines
  • Excellent work ethic and attitude
  • Good communication and organizational skills, with the ability to plan, balance, and prioritize tasks
  • Experience with Revit and MS Office preferred
  • Experience with lighting software preferred
