Responsibilities

  • Prepares simple and routine plans, designs, and calculations by following standard engineering practices and procedures.
  • Sets up code references and design direction from mentors.
  • Performs individual aspects of electrical engineering as it relates to individually assigned projects.
  • This includes, but is not limited to:
    • Power distribution (primary and secondary)
    • Power generation (standby systems)
    • Lighting design and control (both interior and exterior)
    • Power conditioning and uninterruptible power supplies
    • Telecommunications
    • Security and surveillance
    • Fire alarm
    • Nurse call
    • Lightning protection
  • Performs self QC on work and plans for appropriate peer review.
  • Makes presentations to clients regarding electrical engineering design and projects.
  • Performs field work to document existing conditions.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering or architectural engineering.
  • Certifications/Registrations: Passing Fundamentals of Engineering Exam preferred.
  • Skills: Ability to work in Revit, Microsoft Office, Visual Lighting Software; excellent communication skills (written and verbal); excellent customer service capabilities; ability to work more than 40 hours per week to meet project deadlines; ability to drive to project sites and perform customary field work; valid driver’s license; able to work in the United States.
