Entry Level Diesel & Trailer Mechanic

About the role

Cox Fleet, a national leader in mobile onsite fleet maintenance, is proud to announce open enrollment into our next FleeTec Academy class. FleeTec Academy is a paid educational program that leads to a path to becoming one of our full-time Diesel and Trailer Technicians.

Responsibilities

• Study hard for five (5) weeks of full-time schooling at our Academy Campus.
• Travel expenses are paid by us, along with your hotel accommodation, a stipend for meals, and a paycheck.
• Be paired up with a Lead Technician in your market for further hands-on training.
• Offered an actual full-time job with us as a Mobile Mechanic in your market.
• Receive real pay rates that you can afford to pay rent with and a predefined pathway for raises.

Requirements

• You must be willing to study hard (and we mean HARD!) for five (5) weeks of full-time schooling at our Academy Campus.
• Travel expenses are paid by us, along with your hotel accommodation, a stipend for meals, and a paycheck.
• Upon completion of the initial classroom phase, you will be paired up with a Lead Technician in your market for further hands-on training.
• Offered an actual full-time job with us as a Mobile Mechanic in your market.
• Receive real pay rates that you can afford to pay rent with and a predefined pathway for raises.

Qualifications

• Desire to start a career as a Diesel and Trailer Technician and become one of our Mobile Mechanics.
• A willingness and ability to study hard.
• A maturity level to focus on the task at hand.
• A desire to work in a fast-paced environment.
• A high school diploma or an equivalent combination of education is preferred but not required.

Skills

• Technical aptitude and a passion for fixing vehicles.
• Ability to operate iPad.
• Ability to drive one of our trucks.

Pay

• $16/h (or state minimum wages, whichever is greater) + $250 / stipend for 1st week (taxed).
• $21/h upon graduation from the 1st phase of training.
• Additional training and pay progression will be available.

Schedule

• Full-time schooling at our Academy Campus for five (5) weeks.
• Hands-on training by one of our technicians.
• Full-time job with us as a Mobile Mechanic in your market.
