About the role
FleeTec Academy is a paid educational program designed to help individuals enter the Diesel & Trailer Maintenance field. It offers free technical education, a set of hand tools, and a stipend to support students while they learn the fundamentals of diesel engines and repair techniques.
Responsibilities
- Full-time classroom training for four weeks at our Academy Campus
- Travel expenses, hotel accommodation, and meal stipend paid by FleeTec Academy
- Pairing with a Lead Technician for hands-on training
- Offered a full-time job as a Mobile Diesel Mechanic in your market
- Further classroom study sessions to maintain skills
- Graduation leads to being called a Diesel Technician
Requirements
- Willingness to study hard
- Ability to dedicate four weeks away from home
- Maturity level to focus on the task at hand
- Technical aptitude and passion for fixing vehicles
- Ability to operate an iPad
- Must be 21 to drive one of our trucks
- A High-School Diploma or equivalent preferred

Pay
- $13.36/h (or state minimum wages, whichever is greater) + $250 / wk. stipend (taxed)
- $19/h after that for 6 weeks
- + $1/h upon graduation
Schedule
Shift - Monday - Saturday 8:00 am - 4:00 pm
