About the role

FleeTec Academy is a paid educational program designed to help individuals enter the Diesel & Trailer Maintenance field. It offers free technical education, a set of hand tools, and a stipend to support students while they learn the fundamentals of diesel engines and repair techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Full-time classroom training for four weeks at our Academy Campus
  • Travel expenses, hotel accommodation, and meal stipend paid by FleeTec Academy
  • Pairing with a Lead Technician for hands-on training
  • Offered a full-time job as a Mobile Diesel Mechanic in your market
  • Further classroom study sessions to maintain skills
  • Graduation leads to being called a Diesel Technician

Requirements

  • Willingness to study hard
  • Ability to dedicate four weeks away from home
  • Maturity level to focus on the task at hand
  • Technical aptitude and passion for fixing vehicles
  • Ability to operate an iPad
  • Must be 21 to drive one of our trucks
  • A High-School Diploma or equivalent preferred

Pay

  • $13.36/h (or state minimum wages, whichever is greater) + $250 / wk. stipend (taxed)
  • $19/h after that for 6 weeks
  • + $1/h upon graduation

Schedule

Shift - Monday - Saturday 8:00 am - 4:00 pm
