About the role
Fleet Services by Cox Automotive is offering a paid educational program called FleeTec Academy designed to help individuals enter the Diesel Maintenance field. The program provides free technical education on diesel engines and repair techniques, along with a set of hand tools.
Responsibilities
- Full-time Diesel Technician position
- Preventative maintenance and general repairs at customer locations
- Assigned to a state-of-the-art vehicle with all the latest technology
- Opportunity for raises based on performance
Requirements
- Willingness to study hard for four weeks of full-time schooling
- Ability to travel and work away from home
- Desire to start a career as a Diesel Technician
- Must be 21 to drive company trucks
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Qualifications
- Technical aptitude and passion for fixing vehicles
- Maturity level to focus on the task at hand
Skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
