About the role
FleeTec Academy is a paid educational program designed to help individuals enter the Diesel & Trailer Maintenance field. It offers free technical education, a set of hand tools, and a stipend to support students throughout the program.
Responsibilities
- Full-time schooling at our Academy Campus for four (4) weeks
- Travel expenses, hotel accommodation, and stipend for meals paid by us
- Further hands-on training by a Lead Technician in your market
- Offered an actual full-time job as a Mobile Diesel Mechanic in your market
- Periodic classroom study to maintain skills
- Graduation leading to certification as a Diesel Technician
Requirements
- Willingness to study hard
- Ability to dedicate four (4) weeks away from home
- Maturity level to focus on the task at hand
- Technical aptitude and passion for fixing vehicles
- Ability to operate an iPad
- Must be 21 to drive one of our trucks
- A High-School Diploma or equivalent is preferred

Pay
- $13.36/h (or state minimum wages, whichever is greater) + $250 / wk. stipend (taxed)
- $19/h after that for 6 weeks
- + $1/h upon graduation
Schedule
Our Mobile Technicians are assigned a state-of-the-art vehicle, with all the bells and whistles, which they use to perform vehicle repairs at our customers' locations. They are not involved in emergency truck repairs on the side of the road as part of their daily duties.
