About the role

Cox Automotive Mobility Fleet Services is seeking individuals passionate about fixing vehicles to join our FleeTec Academy program. This paid educational program prepares participants to become full-time Diesel & Trailer Technicians.

Responsibilities

• Full-time classroom training at our Academy Campus for four weeks
• Travel expenses, hotel accommodation, and stipend for meals paid by Cox Automotive
• Weekly paycheck during the initial classroom phase
• Pairing with a Lead Technician for hands-on training
• Offered an actual full-time job as a Mobile Diesel Mechanic in your market
• Further classroom study sessions to keep developing your skill set
• Graduation leads to calling yourself a Diesel Technician

Requirements

• Willingness to study hard for four weeks
• Ability to dedicate four weeks away from home
• Maturity level to focus on the task at hand
• Desire to start a career as a Diesel & Trailer Technician
• Technical aptitude and passion for fixing vehicles
• Ability to operate an iPad

Pay

• $12.99/hour (or state minimum wage, whichever is greater) + $250/wk stipend (taxed)
• $19/hour after 6 weeks
• + $1/hour upon graduation
