About the role

The Naval Nuclear Laboratory is a unique, mission-driven organization that develops in-house nuclear reactor instrumentation and control systems for the U.S. Navy's aircraft carriers and submarines. The successful candidate will work in a team environment and apply their systems, software, and hardware development skills and experience to design, implement, and test real-time safety-critical embedded systems.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and test real-time safety-critical embedded systems.
  • Work in a team environment on nuclear reactor instrumentation and control systems.

Requirements

Required combination of knowledge and skill:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related technical, engineering, or science field; or
  • Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related technical, engineering, or science field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong academic performance – GPA 3.2 or above.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical, Computer, Software Engineering, or Computer Science.
  • Experience working in a team environment.
  • Academic project, intern, or co-op experience in hardware, software, or systems development.

Pay

Pay range: $63,900.00 – $97,800.00 annually. Salary is based on candidate experience, qualifications, market, and business considerations.

All candidates must be U.S. citizens. Applicants selected will be subject to a Federal background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified matter. FMP is a government contractor and maintains a drug-free workplace and workforce. All candidates must pass a drug test in compliance with FMP company policy and 10 CFR 707.
