About the role

The Opportunity
This role offers a pathway to growth and learning. As an Associate Auto Claims Representative, you'll gain valuable skills and support from USAA's comprehensive training program. The training includes all necessary materials, licensing costs, and hands-on experience to prepare you for supporting our members.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and settle high volume and low complexity auto claims, such as comprehensive, collision, glass, roadside, and rental vehicle coverages.
  • Resolve claims through proactive problem-solving and decision-making, within authority guidelines and under direct supervision.
  • Collaborate with external and internal business partners to facilitate claims resolution.
  • Support members, business partners, and claimants through various communication channels, including digital tools.
  • Acquire and apply a foundational knowledge of Property and Casualty (P&C) insurance industry products and services.
  • Support workload surges and catastrophe response operations as needed, including potential evening, weekend, and holiday work.
  • Ensure risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience/GED.
  • Ability to provide exceptional customer service for our members by communicating clearly and professionally using multiple communication channels.
  • Successfully acquire an insurance adjuster license and applicable state registrations within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Skills

  • Basic knowledge of auto coverages, including physical damage, liability, and property and casualty insurance.
  • Proactive problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Proficiency in using multiple communication channels and digital tools.

Pay

The hiring range for this position is $48,340 to $50,340. Compensation varies based on experience and market data.

Schedule

Work schedules will vary and may include some weekends. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
