About the Role
Plan, prepare, and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences in push-in and pull-out settings. Develop and modify lesson plans to support students at varying stages of language development. Manage student behavior and maintain discipline using the CHAMPS Behavior Management Program.
Responsibilities
- Communicate with classroom teachers to coordinate instructional activities.
- Develop lesson plans for push-in and pull-out classes.
- Modify classroom instruction to support the needs of students at varying stages of language development.
- Observe, track, and evaluate student performance.
- Prepare required reports on students and activities, including for parent-teacher conferences.
- Regularly participate in grade level, ENL, and school meetings.
- Foster and maintain effective communication with parents/guardians.
Requirements
- Required certification: English to Speakers of Other Languages (7080) or English Language Learning (0005).
Pay
Salary ranges from $35,875 to $46,706 based on degree and experience:
- Bachelor's degree: $35,875–$39,599
- Master's degree: $42,210–$46,706
Schedule
- Full-time position.
- Start date: August 25, 2026.
Location
30 Johnson Street, Lackawanna, NY (itinerant location).
