Test, Calibrate, and Troubleshoot New RF Generator Designs
You will work closely with Systems and Design Engineering to test and troubleshoot the latest RF plasma generator designs. This includes setting up and running tests, analyzing results, and making adjustments as necessary.
Test and Troubleshoot New PCBAs
Validate the performance of newly designed PCBAs through testing and troubleshooting. This involves using oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and other electrical and RF instruments to ensure the components function as intended.
Conduct Failure Analysis
When units return from customers, you will conduct thorough failure analyses. This involves observing and measuring the units to identify what has failed and why, then providing recommendations to prevent future issues.
Build Test Setups for Specialized Experiments
Create and maintain test setups for specialized experiments that require precise control and measurement. This includes assembling equipment, configuring software, and ensuring all components are calibrated correctly.
Travel Requirements
This position does not typically involve travel, but there may be occasional customer support opportunities that require travel to locations within the United States.
Skills You Bring
- Requires an Associate degree or equivalent technician experience
- Minimum of 4+ years of related experience
- Experience using oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and other electrical / RF instruments
- Experience using schematics to troubleshoot PCBA problems
- Preferred: Use of computers to drive tests or collect data, proficiency with Microsoft Office, use of LTSpice or other circuit simulation tools, PCBA soldering / rework
Physical Demands and Working Conditions
- Occasionally moves/positions objects up to 35 pounds
- Frequently positions self to perform tasks and positions objects below, at, and above shoulder level
- Regularly requires manual dexterity and coordination of objects below, at, and above shoulder level
- Must be able to communicate information and ideas so others will understand
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position for 75% of the time
Compensation and Benefits
