Responsibilities
- Daily supervision of the Engineering staff
- Quality service and guest satisfaction
- Safety monitoring and reporting
- Compliance with policies, procedures, brand standards and regulations
- Guest service basics (uniforms, name tags, greetings)
- Knowledge of hotel facilities and services
- Communication consistency with privacy policies
- Quality and timely service
- Supervise new associates
- Evaluate staff performance
- Communicate job standards and roles
- Ensure required training occurs
- Monitor and control expenses
- Preventive maintenance and repairs
- Maintain engineering and work areas
- Examine and test life safety systems
- Proper use of engineering supplies and tools
- Document incidents and reports
- Special projects and other responsibilities
Qualifications
- Knowledgeable on hotel facilities and services
- Ability to report emergencies and accidents
- Proficiency in guest service basics
- Experience in preventive maintenance and repairs
- Understanding of life safety systems
- Ability to prioritize service requests
- Training in fire, alcohol awareness, food handling and blood-borne pathogens
- Experience in internal controls and policies
- Ability to enforce safety and security procedures
- Positive and professional attitude
- Ability to communicate effectively with guests and associates
