Engineering Supervisor

About the role

The Inn at Little Washington, established in 1978, is a luxury resort located in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, approximately 30 minutes from Culpeper, Front Royal, and Warrenton, Virginia, and just over an hour from Reston, Loudoun County, Virginia, and Washington, DC.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support daily activities of Maintenance Technicians
• Assign, monitor, and close work orders through CMMS (HotSOS preferred)
• Ensure timely response to guest and internal service requests
• Perform advanced repairs including electrical, plumbing, HVAC support, carpentry, and general building systems
• Support parts ordering, inventory control, and supply management
• Aid with invoice processing and budget tracking
• Maintain life safety logs, inspection records, and compliance documentation
• Participate in on-call rotation and emergency response procedures

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of hotel or commercial building maintenance experience
• Prior experience leading or coordinating a team
• Experience assigning work and managing workflow
• CMMs experience (HotSOS preferred)
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building systems
• Professional communication skills

Preferred Experience

• Experience in multi-building or resort environments
• Vendor coordination experience
• OSHA, CPR, or safety certifications

Physical Demands

• Able to lift up to sixty (60) pounds
• Able to stand and walk for up to 8 hours a day
• Capable of ascending ladders up to a height of thirty (30) feet
• Fire Safety and Basic CPR/First Aid training (First Respondes Team) or willing to get training
