Engineering Supervisor

What You'll Do

• Handles day-to-day management of the engineering staff and reports any issues to the General Manager or Director of Engineering.
• Builds, repairs, and paints all parts of the hotel.
• Listens for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discusses machine operation variations with General Manager or other maintenance workers to diagnose problem or repair machine.
• Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts.
• Repairs and maintains physical structure of establishment.
• Fabricates and repairs furniture and fixtures.
• Attends all scheduled training classes and meetings.
• Affixes and sets up all new equipment such as televisions, mattresses, tables, chairs, etc.
• Communicates with Director of Engineering on projects as assigned.
• Responds, or assigns an engineer to respond to all customer requests in a timely and personable manner.
• Supervises the shift engineers on day-to-day repairs and engineering needs on property.
• Conducts daily checks on shift engineer's daily work and makes suggestions and corrections as needed.
• Works with the Director of Engineering to coordinate weekly work schedules.
• Manages HotSOS requests and efficiency.

What You Bring

• 2+ years related experience as a shift engineer at a full-service hotel.
