Engineering Supervisor

About the role

The Alida is a jack of all trades at Makeready, a 173-room hotel located on Savannah's revitalized riverfront. They love fixing things and leading a team, ensuring the property, equipment, grounds, and other assets are maintained safely and in good condition.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspect the quality of work and direct team members and outside contractors in tasks
• Supervise and verify the completion of routine maintenance and operation of the physical structure of the hotel
• Respond to emergencies
• Schedule and oversee remodeling projects or capital expenditure needs, including preparing and submitting budget estimates, progress and cost tracking
• Plan, prepare, and monitor special projects

Requirements

• Prior experience required
• Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
• Effective and efficient leadership of a team
• Thorough knowledge of the property
• Work with outside vendors as needed on projects (bid projects, scope of work, timelines, etc.)
• CPO Certified preferred
• Schedule flexibility
