Engineering Intern - Summer Internship
About the role
Bobrick & Gamco are offering a summer internship where you'll work alongside experienced engineers to support manufacturing processes, product development, and process improvement projects.
Responsibilities
- Aid in engineering projects related to manufacturing and product design
- Analyze and interpret data to improve processes and efficiency
- Diagnose and resolve production or mechanical issues
- Support manufacturing teams by optimizing processes and workflow improvements
- Document engineering changes, technical reports, and process updates
- Evaluate and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, quality, and maintenance
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or related Engineering fields
- Prior experience in manufacturing, engineering projects, or hands-on mechanical work is a plus but not required
Qualifications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for reports and presentations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar)
- Understanding of engineering principles, probability, statistics, and process optimization
- Ability to apply calculations, ratios, and technical analysis to solve real-world problems
- Occasional lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs.
- Standing and walking for extended periods in a manufacturing environment
- Strong vision abilities to inspect technical drawings and production processes
Skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents
