Responsibilities
- Author work instructions using drawings and specifications.
- Perform entry level manufacturing engineering assignments.
- Support manufacturing process analysis and design.
- Communicate analytic results through oral and written reports.
- Create formal reports based on study and analysis of plant assembly processes.
- Document plant assembly processes.
- Assist in addressing special projects as they arise.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts focusing on quality, line balance, safety, ergonomics, and overall efficiency.
Requirements
- Candidate must be currently enrolled in a regionally accredited college or university program leading to a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or another science or technology-related major.
- Must have completed the sophomore year of study by the start date of the internship.
- Good academic standing expected.
- Must be currently enrolled in an Engineering program.
- Excellent technical, verbal, written, and presentation skills required.
- Proven problem-solving skills are required.
- Knowledge of industrial tools, hand tools, and power tools is preferred.
- Able to work in a self-directed environment is preferred.
- Flexible to work portions of day and evening shifts.
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time.
- Strong proficiency in MS Office applications, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Minimum 3.0 GPA or higher preferred.
Qualifications
- Working knowledge of all Microsoft Software applications.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Self-starter with the ability to work with little direction.
- Solid academic track record of accomplishment.
