About the role
LISI AEROSPACE is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer Intern to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in mechanical or manufacturing engineering and be eager to contribute to our innovative projects.
Responsibilities
- Create tooling drawings using Solidworks and/or AutoCAD.
- Collect data on “green belt” projects for Six Sigma.
- Analyze and troubleshoot manufacturing floor production problems.
- Produce production metrics and create display boards.
- Auxiliary roles in manufacturing routing, quality engineering, and 5S practices.
- Identify and alert management to potential non-conformances.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
Requirements
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering.
- 0-1 years of entry-level engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Working knowledge of relevant engineering applications.
- Proficiency in Computer Assisted Design (CAD).
Skills
- Technical skills in manufacturing processes and methods.
- Works with Enterprise Resource Planning system, M3 & quality system, LINKS.

Essential Job Requirements, Skills, and Abilities
- Education and/or Experience: Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering; 0-1 years of entry-level engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Evidence of “US person” is required under ITAR.
- Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand for extended periods of time and walk and sit; requires eye-hand coordination, use hands hand movement and manual dexterity use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, listen and speak. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
- Work Environment: The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Safety and Environmental: The responsibilities of the position include compliance with company and governmental safety, environmental and hazardous materials regulations and procedures.
