About the role

The Polaris Engineering Development Program (EDP) is a two-year rotational program for recent engineering graduates. It provides broad exposure to the product development cycle while offering in-depth customer insights through challenging assignments. Rotations last six months each, totaling four rotations over two years.

Upon successful completion, participants transition into a full-time Engineering position based on business needs, demonstrated strengths, and career interests.

Responsibilities

  • Complete four six-month engineering rotations in areas such as Design Engineering, Test and Validation, Manufacturing or Operations, and Project/Product Engineering.
  • Engage in challenging assignments to accelerate career development for future positions of significant responsibility.
  • Establish mentor relationships with business leadership.
  • Participate in professional development events, including the Early Talent Summit Week and end-of-rotation presentations to senior leaders.
  • Contribute to community engagement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Engineering or related field (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Software, Computer, Systems) with a graduation date between August 2026 and May 2027.
  • Minimum overall GPA of 3.0.
  • Ability to commit to working 40 hours per week starting on January 12th, 2026, or June 15th, 2026.
  • Must be a U.S. person (U.S. citizen, U.S. national, lawful permanent resident, asylee, or refugee) and not require sponsorship for employment now or in the future.
  • Willingness to relocate between sites for rotations and remain mobile beyond the program for career development.
  • Reliable transportation for daily commuting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software: Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, SharePoint.
  • Active leadership experience in student organizations and/or work experiences.
  • Demonstrated strengths in analysis, creative problem-solving, communication, interpersonal relationships, self-motivation, and leadership.
  • Strong interest in long-term career development.

Qualifications

  • Previous internship/co-op experience.
  • Experience using CAD or equivalent software (Creo highly desired).
  • Hands-on engineering experience through prior internships or clubs (e.g., SAE, Clean Snow).

Pay

The starting pay range for Minnesota is $75,000 to $80,000 per year. Individual salaries are determined by factors including education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography.

Schedule

  • Program length: 2 years.
  • Rotation length: 6 months (4 rotations total).
  • Start dates: January 12th, 2026, or June 15th, 2026.

Locations

Potential placement locations include Roseau, MN; Wyoming, MN; Medina, MN; Huntsville, AL; Novi, MI; or San Angelo, TX.

Relocation

Polaris offers a relocation program for qualifying employees, including a lump sum payment, self-haul moving package, lease cancellation/duplicate housing reimbursement, and access to a relocation counselor for assistance with short-term housing. Daily transportation to and from the office is the employee’s responsibility.
