Engineering and Construction Technologies Toelle Student Success Center - Student Associate

Job Summary

Reporting to the Engineering & Construction Technologies Lab Manager and Coordinator of Tutoring and Mentoring, the Computer Technologies Toelle Student Success Center Tutor and Work Study provides support for lab management and organization and provides tutoring support for students in Computer Technologies courses.

Essential Functions

• Support and encourage students through tutoring activities.
• Ensure students seeking tutoring sign in and out of the lab appropriately.
• Verify lab tutoring hours weekly.
• Perform lab organization and management tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

• Current student enrolled in Computer Technologies program classes at Sandhills Community College.
• Good Microsoft Office skills is required.
• Completion of an Introduction to Computers course.
• The ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Preferred qualifications: Fundamental knowledge of computer networks, security and programming.

Supplemental Information

• Working Conditions - This position requires working on the Moore County Sandhills campus, with possible workdays being Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm, mostly overlapping student time on campus.
