Responsibilities

• Leading and managing complex cloud migration and implementation projects
• Leveraging comprehensive knowledge of AWS services, architectures, and best practices to guide technical decisions and strategic planning
• Bridging business requirements with technical solutions, facilitating engineering discussions and ensuring alignment with customer business outcomes
• Distilling customer needs into clear technical requirements and map them to business outcomes
• Decomposing complex technical problems into actionable, deliverable solutions
• Contributing to technical documentation and define documentation standards

A day in the life

You start your morning reviewing engagement health metrics and preparing for a status call with your customer's leadership team. Mid-morning, you facilitate a release planning session, aligning priorities and resolving blockers with your delivery team. After lunch, you connect with a solutions architect to review a proposed technical approach and confirm it maps to the customer's business objectives. Later, you collaborate with a peer Engagement Manager to share lessons learned and refine a delivery kit that will benefit future projects.

Basic qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent
• Experience with Agile or other program management methodologies
• 4+ years of IT implementation experience
• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI or above
• 5+ years of project/program management experience

Preferred qualifications

• Experience with AWS services or other cloud offerings
• Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification
• Experience working with and presenting to C-level executives, IT, and lines of businesses across organizations or equivalent
• Experience managing technical projects consisting of 4 or more people totaling over a $250,000 budget
• Can show strong verbal and written communication skills
• Experience supporting DoD/DoW & National Security mission systems, and the ability to represent AWS within the customer's environment, driving discussions with senior personnel regarding trade-offs, best practices, project management, and risk mitigation
