Energy Transactions Associate (Junior)
About the role
Greenberg Traurig (GT), a global law firm, seeks a junior lawyer with 0-2 years of experience in its Energy and Natural Resources practice group based in Houston.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the team on a variety of complex domestic and international energy transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, project development, project finance, project contracts, and related transactional matters across conventional, renewable, and transitional energy sectors.
Requirements
- Highly motivated, with 0-2 years of experience in energy (a plus).
- A J.D. degree (or pending a J.D.), with strong academic credentials, admission or pending admission to one or more state bars, and bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
- Diligent, energetic, and possesses excellent writing skills, with the ability to work independently, manage multiple deadlines effectively, and thrive in a collaborative team environment.
- In good standing with the Texas State Bar. If not already admitted in the State of Texas, must sit for the Texas Bar Exam in the summer 2026.
