Energy Transactions Associate

About the role

Eversheds Sutherland (US) LLP is seeking an Associate to join its Energy practice in our Atlanta, New York, Houston or Washington, DC office. We are looking to add a team member with 3–5 years of transactional law firm experience preferably in the energy finance area.

Responsibilities

• Handle financing transactions within the energy sector.
• Support complex energy transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, project development, construction contracts, and commercial agreements.
• Manage multiple matters simultaneously while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Engage directly with clients and develop a strong understanding of their business objectives.

Requirements

The attorney will join a practice that supports clients on the financing of a wide range of domestic and international energy and large-scale infrastructure projects across diverse energy sectors.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of transactional law firm experience preferably in the energy finance area.
• Experience in handling financing transactions within the energy sector.
• Experience supporting complex energy transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, project development, construction contracts, and commercial agreements.
• Ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Strong client engagement and relationship-building skills.

Pay

The salary is commensurate with years of relevant experience & geographic location. The salary range for our Associate position is $260,000-365,000.

Schedule

The Associate position requires in-office presence three days per week.
