Medcor is seeking an EMT or Paramedic on a PRN (as-needed) basis to serve as an Onsite Health Technician in our employer-based, occupational health clinic in Albany, OR. The clinic operates 7 days a week from 8 AM to 10 PM. Since this is an as-needed role, there are no guaranteed hours—ideal for those available to pick up occasional shifts.

Pay

$26.00–$28.00/hour.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Medcor’s medical and operational leadership, local medical providers, client staff, and key corporate contacts.
  • Provide patient care, manage ongoing workers’ compensation cases, facilitate Return to Work (RTW) programs, and monitor treatment plans.
  • Work closely with outside medical providers.
  • Participate in daily on-site clinic operations and deliver superior customer service to Medcor’s clients and employees.
  • Assess and treat workplace injuries and illnesses using Medcor’s Evidence-Based Medicine protocols (Medcor Care Protocols).
  • Support on-site employee health and wellness initiatives.
  • Conduct pre-employment and post-offer screenings.
  • Document care using state-of-the-art EMR and other tools.
  • Perform medical charting and case management.
  • Build and maintain internal team relationships.

Requirements

  • Valid licensure for the position (EMT or Paramedic).
  • Current CPR/BLS certification.
  • Strong computer and technology skills (e.g., cell phones, texting, fax machines, EMR software).
  • Ability to lift a 50lb emergency response bag.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Positive, outgoing personality with a passion for patient care.
  • Willingness to go above and beyond in your role.
  • Ability to have fun while delivering high-quality care.

Qualifications (Preferred)

  • Comfortable working in a worksite clinic environment.
  • Relevant occupational health experience.
  • Experience in emergency medicine or critical care.
