About the role
The Arrow EMT responds to emergency and non-emergency ambulance requests, providing immediate care and ensuring ambulance readiness.
Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to emergency calls to assist the ill and injured.
- Monitor and maintain ambulance and equipment readiness.
- Communicate crew and vehicle status clearly at all times.
- Clean ambulances, utility vehicles, and crew quarters regularly.
- Provide guidance to fellow EMTs during ambulance calls.
- Transport patients, including wheelchair van services when needed.
Qualifications and Skills
- Emergency Medical Tech (EMT) License and Driver's License upon hire.
- Completion of National Incident Management System (NIMS) courses 200, 700, and 800 within six months.
- Hazardous Materials Awareness and Emergency Response to Terrorism (ERT) certifications within six months.
