About the role
Respond to emergency and non-emergency ambulance requests, ensuring patient care and maintaining ambulance readiness.
Responsibilities
- Respond to emergency calls, providing immediate care to the ill and injured.
- Monitor and check ambulance and equipment readiness.
- Communicate crew and vehicle positions clearly at all times.
- Perform daily cleaning of ambulances, utility vehicles, and quarters.
- Guide and support EMTs during ambulance calls.
- Transport patients, including wheelchair van services when needed.
Requirements
- Emergency Medical Tech (EMT) License and Driver’s License upon hire.
- Completion of NIMS 200, 700, 800, HazMat Awareness, and ERT certifications within specified timeframes.
Skills
- Strong communication, organizational, and emergency response skills.
